Storytelling Festival set for Nov. 20, Nov. 21

EAST BRUNSWICK, New Jersey – November, 2010 – Get your tickets now for one of the East Brunswick Public Library’s longest and most popular traditions – the 18th Annual James Hess Folklore Storytelling Festival. Join New Jersey’s own Jim Albertson on November 20 and November 21 as he presents traditional folk songs, ballads and folk tales gathered from the four corners of New Jersey in a way that is sure to be a smash. Mr. Albertson was M.C. of the New Jersey Folk Festival, as well as coordinator of many folk music programs in New Jersey. His "N.J. Folklore Sampler" is published by Middle Atlantic Press. His recording "Down Jersey” is on the Smithsonian Institution's Folkways Label. The event is hosted by the East Brunswick Public Library Foundation.
An adult program will be held on Saturday, November 20, at 7:30 p.m. A family program will be held Sunday, November 21, at 2 p.m. Mr. Albertson recommends the family program for children in Kindergarten and up. Tickets are on sale at The Library now. Tickets are $15 for the adult program, which includes a sumptuous dessert buffet, and $7 for families and $3 for individuals attending the family program.
