EAST BRUNSWICK, New Jersey – January, 2010 – Whether you are a small business, someone in the job market or just need some business help, then The East Brunswick Library is the place to go. With the Library’s new Business Resource Center, getting a leg up on the competition has never been easier. The BRC opens Monday Jan. 3, and will offer resume and cover letter reviews, faxing, scanning, copying, passport services and a variety of courses on how to take advantage of computer software to position yourself for success. Seating for all of these programs is limited so come to the Business Resource Center and register now. There is a fee for these services and cash, credit cards and checks are accepted for all programs. Please make checks payable to the East Brunswick Public Library. Select from one or all of the upcoming services in January and February.
Resume and Cover Letter: Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedule an hour and a half appointment and get guidance on how to update your resume and cover letter. Be sure to bring a copy of your resume and cover letter when you register. There is a $75 fee for this service.
Making PowerPoint Work For Your Business: Wednesday, Jan. 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch). Learn everything you need to make a strong PowerPoint presentation. Discover how to use online templates and ways to turn your PowerPoint presentation to a hard copy presentation. Make a good PowerPoint presentation great by knowing when and what to say during the presentation. Everyone who attends will develop a business PowerPoint presentation that will support your business and its marketing goals during the course. There is a $50 fee for this service.
Office 2010 – How to make it work for you: Wednesday, Feb. 1, 10 a.m. to noon. This two hour program will show you why Office 2010 is really beneficial to your business and how to make it work for you. There is a $25 fee for this program.
QuickBooks 2010- Beginner Level: Wednesday, Feb. 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch). This class is designed for individuals who are just starting out with QuickBooks. The first class will include an introduction to the interface, how to set up your company’s QuickBooks, and how to add and work with customers, vendors, accounts and inventory in the Customer and Vendor Centers, the Cart of Accounts and the Lists Menu. The fee for this program is $50.
