Driveway scuffle ensues during home robbery

EAST BRUNSWICK A resident of Addington Court got in a struggle with men who were robbing his home on Saturday before the suspects fled the area.

The East Brunswick Police Department is investigating the robbery which occurred on June 10, 2011 at approximately 2:20 p.m. when police said the victim arrived home to find a silver van parked in her driveway with the motor running.

The victim also noticed that the front door to her home was open. The victim confronted two men as they were leaving the home and a struggle ensued which resulted in the victim being kicked and falling to the ground.

Both of the suspects had been carrying property from the home as they exited the residence. They entered the silver van, which was described as on older model minivan, and fled the area.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic or middle eastern male approximately 22- to 27-years-old, 6-feet tall about 150 to 160 pounds with black hair. The second suspect is described as a black male under 30 years old with short buzzed hair about 5-foot-7 inches with a stocky build.

Composite drawings of the suspects were completed and the police are looking for help in identifying the suspects.

The suspects removed an undisclosed amount of jewelry and cash from the home. Anyone with information should contact Detective Zielinski at 732-390-6990
